Sokovia Accords
The Sokovia Accords, officially titled the Sokovia Accords: Framework for the Registration and Deployment of Enhanced Individuals,[1] are a group of legislative documents in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) ratified by the United Nations (UN), with the support of 117 countries,[2] following the Battle of Sokovia. They establish UN oversight over the Avengers.
History[edit]
The Sokovia Accords made their first appearance in the film Captain America: Civil War (2016),[3] serving as the inadvertent cause of the events of Black Widow (2021), Black Panther, and Ant-Man and the Wasp (both 2018).
In March 2021, the Sokovia Accords' text were added to the Captain America Museum Exhibit.[4]
Rules[edit]
Reception[edit]
Attorney Mark Zaid said that the Sokovia Accords is impossible in the real world because they "ignore a whole lot of legal protections that are in place for a reason."[5]
