Sony Xperia Pro-I
The Sony Xperia Pro-I[lower-alpha 1] is an Android smartphone manufactured by Sony Mobile. Designed as a new flagship in the PRO lineup of Sony Xperia series, the phone was announced on October 26, 2021. The phone is intended for vloggers, video and photo professionals.
Design
The Xperia PRO-I features the same build as the Xperia 1 III, which incorporated an aluminum frame with three stripes, a reminiscent feature from Sony Ericsson C902, smaller bezels overall, and a built-in strap hole, a feature last seen on the Sony Xperia Z5 series. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection on the front and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 on the back with a frosted glass finish as well as IP65 and IP68 certifications for water resistance. The build has a pair of symmetrical bezels on the top and the bottom, where the front-facing dual stereo speakers and the front camera are placed. The left side of the phone contains the SIM card tray and microSD card slot, while the right side contains a fingerprint reader embedded into the power button, a volume rocker, a small round configurable key, and a two-stage shutter button with embossed finish, borrowed from the RX100 VII. The rear cameras are arranged in a vertical strip in the center. The phone will be available in one color: Frosted Black.

Hardware
The Xperia Pro-I has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and an Adreno 660 GPU, accompanied by 12 GB of RAM, 512 GB of storage space (which can be expanded up to 1 TB via the microSD card slot), as well as one nano SIM slot. The phone features a 21:9, CinemaWide 4K HDR 10-bit 120Hz OLED display, the same display as the 1 III. The phone has a 4500 mAh battery, and supports 30 W Fast Charging, although it lacks wireless charging support. There are front-facing stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio jack up top just like the Xperia PRO. Unlike the original Xperia PRO, the Xperia PRO-I lacks a micro-HDMI port.
Camera
The phone has a triple 12 MP camera setup and a 3D iToF sensor on the back, and an 8 MP camera on the front. The rear camera comprises the main lens, taken from the Sony RX100 VII, which is a 1.0-type sensor with 2.4µm pixels and the first 1.0-type sensor on a phone to support PDAF (24mm, dual aperture f/2.0 - f/4.0). However, the sensor only uses 60% of its central portion to enable 24mm 12 MP for 4:3 stills. The other cameras consist of an ultra wide angle lens (16 mm, f/2.2) and a telephoto lens (50mm, f/2.4). All of which use ZEISS' T✻ (T-Star) anti-reflective coating. The phone still supports 4K video recording for up to 120 FPS and 2K for up to 120 FPS like its predecessor. For the first time in the Xperia lineup, it now supports Eye AF and Realtime Tracking feature for video recording.
Software
The Xperia PRO-I runs on Android 11. It is also equipped with a "Photo Pro" mode developed by Sony's camera division α (Alpha) and a "Cinema Pro" mode developed by Sony's cinematography division CineAlta, just like the Xperia 1 III. It also has a new app called "Video Pro" as a stripped-down version of Cinema Pro.
