Sophie K is a British radio DJ and Television Presenter.[1] best known for her work as a specialist rock music presenter for Scuzz TV and Kerrang Radio.

Early life[edit]

Born in Westminster, she moved to Huddersfield at an early age and attended Kirkburton Middle School. She attended high school in Kampala East Africa before returning to Huddersfield. She attained a 2:1 from The University Of Salford in Media and Performance.

Career[edit]

In 2009 Sophie began working for TotalRock Radio and presented a show every Saturday at 12pm. In 2010 she began presenting, filming and editing video content for their YouTube channel.

She was subsequently headhunted to be the face of Sonisphere Festival TV in 2011 and 2012.

Sophie was then offered the Breaking Bands show on TeamRock Radio [2] in 2013 which earned her an ARQIVA nomination in 2015 for Best Specialist Show.

In 2014 Sophie became the British representative for Alternative Press Magazine, presenting online videos.

In 2014 Sophie became the official presenter for the Metal Hammer Awards TV show on Scuzz TV.

That same year she began working for Sony owned Scuzz TV and was eventually given her own show in 2017 called Tube Screamer.

In 2017 Sophie began presenting at Kerrang Radio and became their breakfast show presenter from 7am to 10am Monday to Friday[3].

In 2017 and 2018 Sophie hosted the Heavy Music awards [4] at House of Vans and KoKo London[5].

In 2018 Sophie became a cover presenter on BBC Radio 1 for the Indie Show[6]

Personal Life[edit]

Sophie is a keen surfer and regularly attends the WSL competition.
