The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) is a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group having its headquarter situated in Surat, Gujarat, India. It is one of the oldest trade association in the south Gujarat and it was founded in Year 1940.[9][10][11][12]
SGCCI Present president is Mr. Himanshu Bodawala [13][14] and Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia is the Present Vice President.
History[edit]
SGCCI Established in 21st October 1940 by Late Shri Diwan Bahadur Bhupatrai Shastri with member strength of 16 which has reached today 10,500+ maintaining quality standard of ISO 9001:2015.
Several of the distinguished industry leaders in India have led the SGCCI as its President, names of few are mentioned:[15] 1940 - 1943 Founding President -Late Shri Diwan Bahadur Bhupatrai Shastri 1944 -1945 Late Shri Rao Saheb Vrundavan Jadav 1945-1946 Late Shri Rai Bahadur Maneklal Kapadiya to name a few.

Services[edit]
Certificate of Origin[edit]
SGCCI issues non-preferential certificates of origin to both member and non-member companies. This is a document, used to certify that the export products are wholly obtained, produced or manufactured in India.[17]
Visa Recommendation[edit]
SGCCI issues recommendation letters to member companies for issue of visa for business promotion visits to foreign countries. SGCCI has been advised to obtain certain basic information before issuing the recommendation letters for issuance of visa.[18]
E-Stamping[edit]
E-stamping paper is a process where the stamp duty is electronically paid to the Government.
SGCCI Publications[edit]
SGCCI Publications is the publishing arm of the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry providing business with essential resources in categories: Samruddhi Magazines[19] E-News Letter : Inforzine[20]
Training and events[edit]
The Indian Textile Trade Fair (ITTF) organised by Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) in Dhaka.[21]
The chamber will sign a memorandum of understanding with the BTR (Bodoland Territorial Region) administration, headed by Pramod Boro, soon as part of the Bodoland Textiles Mission in Assam.[22]
The three-day Sparkle 2022 was held from December 16 to 18 and was inaugurated by Surat city mayor Hemali Boghawala at the Surat indoor stadium.[23]

The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) will organise a four-day Indian Textile Trade Fair in Bangladesh from Wednesday, for which over 60 exhibitors and SGCCI office-bearers left for Dhaka on Tuesday.[26]
