Solomon O Ajayi (born 1992), known professionally as Specdo, is a Nigerian musician. He rose to prominence in the Nigerian music scene with the song "Blow My Mind".

Early life[edit]

Solomon was born 7 February 1992 in Ogun State, Nigeria. He is an ethnic Urhobo by descent from Oghara situated within the Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State. His father, Prophet Johnson Ajayi, is a clergyman and Specdo's upbringing was influenced by a blend of cultural and religious upbringing.

[1] He began musical activity by playing drums and singing at a young age.[2] His passion for music grew alongside his exposure to diverse cultural elements in Nigeria. His hometown's atmosphere and the country's musical heritage contributed to shaping his musical tastes and ambitions.

Career[edit]

In 2020, Specdo entered into a recording agreement with KD Records. During this period, Specdo engaged in collaborations with Nigerian artists like Solid Star and Tekno. [3] Upon the conclusion of the one-year recording contract, He independently released several tracks, including 'Oyoyo', 'Manya', 'Blow My Mind', 'Branama', and 'Ginger'.

[4] Specdo has publicly acknowledged the influence and mentorship of Nigerian musician such as Innocent Ujah Idibia, recognized as 2Baba.

Other ventures[edit]

Solomon Ajayi is recognized for his involvement in entrepreneurial activities and has initiated other business ventures. [5] He founded Tree Money Yard Empire LTD in 2015.[6] This business entity houses several subsidiaries, including TMY Media, TMY Records, TMY Empire, TMY Paygo, TMY Mart, TMY Newspaper, TMY Podcast, and Studio.[7][8][9][10] [11][12][13]
