Spectra Secondary School is the second Specialised School for Normal Technical (SSNT) students in Singapore. It commenced its first year of operation in January 2014.[1]
The school engages Normal Technical students through academic learning in Mainstream subjects and Vocational Training, which derives from Singapore's Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
Unlike the mainstream way of being posted to a shortlisted secondary school by Ministry of Education (MOE) Singapore, students must apply directly to Spectra Secondary School after their Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

Spectra Secondary School was established in 2014 and the school admitted at least 50+ students during January 2014.
Culture and identity[edit]
Uniform[edit]
The Uniform of Spectra Secondary school offers three category each.
- Polo Tee
The Polo Tee Uniform is designed with Purple Collars, an Horizontal Straight Purple Line, which bears on the top of the back and the school name SPECTRA bears on the left chest. Male students would wear a short pants while for Female students would wear skirt. Hence, while Secondary 3 and 4 Male students who were recently promoted from Secondary 2 are to permanently wear a long pants while Female students could have a choice wearing Skirts or Long Pants.
- PE T-Shirt
There are two variant types of the PE T-Shirt uniform and a short pants. The original design of the PE T-Shirt uniform was made up of rough cotton, however, it was changed later in 2018 to a much more comfortable Athletic Wool Uniform.
- Vocational Uniform
Students who were promoted to Secondary 3 would need to purchase their own Vocational Uniform according to their own Vocational Subjects they have selected upon during Secondary 2.

- The Overall school logo defines the belief in achieving goals and aspirations.
- The Radiating hues defines the student's uniqueness by offering them a learning experiences towards realising and inheriting their potential to becoming a fulfilling person.
- The angled lines represents the "Spirit of Kampong", which serves to remind the students that the school community would provide them with safe, support and care in the school's environment for the student's development.
- The colours of the Dusk Purple represents the dark stages of the colour, which serves as an ideal backdrop for light to shine with gleam and brightness.
- Both the Nurturing Pink & Ever Green represents "Compassion, Love and Kindess" with vibrant and positive attitude towards life.

As a Specialised NT School, Spectra Secondary School offers one academic streams, namely the four-year Normal Technical Course.
Normal (Technical) Course[edit]
The Normal (Technical) course, which is the only Course Spectra Secondary School offers, prepares students for a technical-vocational education at the Institute of Technical Education. Students are offer 4 compulsory subjects in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination. Before they are promoted to Secondary 3, students would have a choice if they would like to resume or not resumed taking "NT Science".
Normal (Academic) Course [Selected Only][edit]
Students who scored a distinction mark of the particular subjects they excel in, may be recommended by a teacher to take up an NA subject according to the Student wishes. If they do accept it, the NA Subjects would be included in the Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal Level examination.
Vocational Course[edit]
As a Specialised NT School, Spectra Secondary School offers Vocational Course, which mainly derives from Institute of Technical Education (ITE) to get themselves prepared and get familiarised. The Course offers 4 Vocational Subjects, which are: Retail, Hospitality, Facility and Mechanical
