Speedy Gun Savage is a virtual reality first-person shooter game developed and published by Gamitronics. The leading VR/AR, theme park, and robotics company is co-founded by seasoned professionals Mr. Rajat Ojha and Mr. Rajiv Chilaka. Speedy Gun Savage was released on 9th April 2021. The art direction of the game is helmed by Vishnumurthy.A. alongside concept artist Shehzad. Programming of the game is anchored by Naveen S J, Rahul Shekhawat, Shubham Gupta, Shivam Dhoot, Vijay Kesiraju, and Raghu Ambidi. Furthermore, the animations are accredited to Guru Sai Kiran and Sai Kumar.                          

The dynamic background scores of Speedy Gun Savage are produced by music directors; Sam, Redvard Dolański, Franco Carrizo "Naeflek", Arcade Music by Shane Ivers, Alexander Vasenin and Ed Records.

The intriguing plot of the VR game is primarily set in outer space but proceeds to purvey distinctive landscapes and settings through every level. It revolves around an alien bounty hunter, Wolf, and his robot friend Evan who are on a quest for bounties that they earn by defeating interstellar enemies. The alchemical design transitions allow players to upgrade their guns and conquer a new planet as the game advances.  

The “Bosses” that surface at the end of every level are the toughest to battle. Players can use multiple guns and weapons and cover and shoot to fight the enemies. Furthermore, robot Evan guides Wolf throughout the game giving him tips and instructions to proceed further.

Plot

The gameplay takes place from a first-person perspective in the way that the player is Wolf and is guided by Evan, the robot friend, for instructions. The player can choose from 3 unique weapons(guns) and must conquer 3 planets to move ahead in the game. The well-crafted graphics of the game offers multiple celestial landscapes on each planet, thereby maintaining a level of intrigue. The landscapes range from dry desserts to scary indoors and rough hilly terrains. Wolf, the lead of the game, is not portrayed as a heroic character but rather a raging alcoholic and passionate bounty hunter who stops at nothing to earn as many bounties as possible. The unconventional character sketch of Wolf is claimed to bring realism and fidelity into the gaming parameters.  Wolf’s sidekick, Evan, is a faithful friend who helps him discover hidden enemies and exposes their weaknesses. The duo voyages across several planets, defeating the deadliest interstellar creatures and making bounties. The player observes a haze effect often which suggests Wolf’s drunken nature and makes focusing tough thereby making the game even more intriguing.

Gameplay

The sole philosophy behind this distinctive VFX first-person shooter game was to “pioneer an unprecedented gaming experience that is conventionally challenging yet incredibly futuristic.” True to its philosophy, the VFX of the game is transformative and offers the gamer a one-of-a-kind experience. The sharp 3D graphics contribute to the real-life experience along with distinguishing character sketches. The game is developed on Unreal Engine and available on platforms like Oculus Rift/Quest 2, HTC Vive and PSVR.

The game boasts several intricate elements like the Ark machine, an advanced spaceship, directional waypoints, a victorian rocket launcher, machine guns, and shotguns. Moreover, Speedy Gun Savage has pioneered an avant-garde feature in the global gaming landscape by offering the player a 360-degree overview throughout all levels of the game. As one moves through the levels, they encounter several enemies. Battling their way out along with Evan, they cover and shoot the enemies using various weapons while dealing with the occasional haze effect and flying enemies.
