The Spin Awards recognizes achievements in the Christian gospel radio industry. The Spin Awards is national major awards ceremony presented annually in the Atlanta, Georgia area and awards those who are in the Christian and Gospel radio industry. It is the first and only organization that exclusively honors Christian Gospel Radio workers.

History[edit]

The Spin Awards was founded by National Billboard charts Charting Recording Artist, Appointed, in 2017 in an effort to honor those who work in the Christian and Gospel radio industry. The inaugural Spin Awards took place at the 3D Complex in 2017 in Lithonia, Georgia. In 2018, The Spin Awards established the Spin Affiliate voting body to nominate and cast votes in certain special voting categories. In 2019, the Spin Awards instituted a hall of fame to memorialize noteworthy individuals in the Christian and Gospel radio industry.[1]

Specialty awards are given recipients for their outstanding contributions to the Christian Gospel Radio industry that are not recognized in the General Field of categories.

Categories including Specialty awards can be added or deleted depending on nomination submissions and at The Spin Awards discretion.

Entry process and selection of nominees[edit]

Christian Gospel radio Workers, Spin Affiliate Members and other individuals can submit an individual or Christian Gospel radio organization for nomination consideration. The Spin Awards nomination team reviews the submissions and makes selections based on the information provided and at the discretion of the organization. Accuracy of information, website content, broadcast quality, social media presence, spinning duration, and listener accessibility to show, station and podcast stream help determine inclusion on the ballot and then are finalized by The Spin Awards Nomination team.
