Spring Fragrance Palace

This unique palace (春芳楼) harmonized Chinese and Western architectural styles. It was built according to the traditional Minnan region pattern of 5 rooms with 4 wing rooms surrounding a courtyard in the middle and with characteristic Minnan region style roof swallowtail wing edges.^[1] The front of this two-story structure is supported by stone pillars. There is an open dance platform on the second floor. The palace is decorated with a large number of artworks and sculptures. The top center exhibits a western-style feature of an epic flying eagle riding on a ball.

It was built in 1965 by Cai Zutan (蔡祖谈), Cai Chaolin (蔡朝霖), and named 春芳楼 (Spring Fragrance Palace). On both sides of the main gate are engraved stone carvings of Cai Zutan's maxims. It was showcased in newspapers ^[1] and videos.^[2]^[3]
