The Springfield Otters are a Tier II junior simulated ice hockey team in the Major Electronic Hockey League. The Otters play their home games at Brightspeed Ice Park in Springfield, Missouri.

History

In 2022, the Major Electronic Hockey League (MEHL) announced that they had approved the Fresno Ice Rays expansion to begin play in the 2022-23 season as a member of the Divison 2.^[1] The Otters were very excited to get their 2024-25 inaugural season going as the Springfield Otters in the MEHL as a part of the Midwest Division. ^[2] The Otters were originally the Fresno Ice Rays as they played in the MEHL for 2 seasons and the MEHL rebranded the Ice Rays to start a whole new era for the franchise and the league.

|</ref>Due to the league Ceasing Operations throughout the season, the Otters weren’t able to finish the season as they only got to play 3 total games.
