.It was established in the year 1991 by Delhi Jesuit Society (DJS)[5][6].[7]It is managed by Behror Xavier Educational Society, Behror, Alwar .[8][9]
Etymology[edit]
The name of school is based on its patron saint - St. Francis Xavier .
History[edit]
In July 1989 Delhi Society Of Jesus started looking to establish a primary school in Alwar district of Rajasthan . On offer of RIICO to provide land in newly established Behror industrial area , School was decided to be established in Behror and possession of land was taken on March 20, 1990. The Foundation Stone was laid by Fr. Richard Pereira, SJ, a veteran educationist, on January 12, 1991 . On July 15, 1991, St. Xavier's School was officially started in three rented rooms in the Yadav Dharamshala, Behror, [10]in collaboration with the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of Ajmer (MSA) under Sisters - Sr. Sheela MSA, Sr. Charlotte MSA, Sr.Annie Kujur MSA .The new born school under the guidance of Fr. George Karakunnel, SJ as Manager, and Sr. Charlotte MSA as the Headmistress, had only two classes: LKG ( 26 students) and UKG (29 students). On 4 January, 1993 classes were shifted to the new school premises in RIICO Industrial area .[2][11]
Fr. K.P George SJ took over in January 2000 as First Principal of the school. Sr. Marilyn MSA took charge as the first Vice- Principal from July 2001.
The school was given permanent Recognition in 2000 with the up gradation of the school into a secondary level by Board Of Education Rajasthan On January 9, 2001, the school got affiliation with the CBSE .[3]
