Staffbase is a technology company based in Chemnitz, Germany, offering a mobile-first communication platform for large organizations. Dr. Martin Böhringer, Dr. Lutz Gerlach, and Frank Wolf founded the company in November 2014. Dr. Böhringer is the CEO of Staffbase.

In November 2014, Dr. Martin Böhringer, Dr. Lutz Gerlach, and Frank Wolf founded Staffbase, originally called "Eyo MitarbeiterApp."[1] Böhringer and Gerlach previously founded Hojoki [2], a productivity and team collaboration app.

In September 2016, Staffbase raised a Series-A financing round of €2,024 million, led by tech venture capitalist Capnamic Ventures and seed investor Kizoo Technology Ventures.[3] [4]

In March of 2017, Staffbase opened an office in New York City and released what it described as "the world’s first Employee Experience Platform."[5]

In June of 2018, the company raised $10 million in a third round of financing, led by e.ventures and supported by their existing backers.[6]

Operations[edit]

Staffbase is headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany, and New York City, with offices in Amsterdam, Cologne, Dresden, and London. As of November 2018, they had approximately 125 employees [7]. The company maintains employee apps for enterprises including Adidas, Audi, Brinks, Deutsche Telekom, H&M, Rio Tinto, Siemens, and UC Health.

Product[edit]

Staffbase markets employee apps intended to improve employee engagement and internal communication in large companies. The mobile-first platform is a secure, ISO 27001-certified channel for communication professionals who wish to foster alignment, engagement, and relevance to their dispersed, global workforces and connect them with easy access to corporate information and workplace tools and services, including existing intranets.
