Star of Azazel (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) is a Finnish theistic satanist organization and magical order founded in Finland in 2006.[1]
Beliefs and practices
The philosophy of Star of Azazel is based on theosophy, but introduces satanic philosophy as a positive force[2].
The group is not a part of the Theosophical Society, but adheres to Three Objects of the Theosophical Society.[3]
In addition to the theosophical foundation, Star of Azazel has its own doctrinal basis, called The Sevenfold Basis.[4]
Violence and racism of any kind are strongly condemned.[1]
Star of Azazel is a non-political organization, and the members are not allowed to make political statements within the organization[5].
Structure
Star of Azazel is divided into independent lodges, that independently define their mission and emphasis. The lodges are required to agree to The Three Objects of the Theosophical Society and to the Sevenfold Basis.
The organization originally had centralized administration that oversaw the lodges, but was abolished in 2018. The lodges are now completely independent.
Publications
The mebers of Star of Azazel have been actively publishing literature since the founding of the organization. The most prominent author is the founder Johannes Nefastos, who has been writing actively since the 1990s.
