Starship is an art magazine, published in Berlin since the late 1990s, featuring contributions by a variety of local and international artists, critics and theorists. Since its inception, the magazine has frequently shifted its form and format,[1] and has been associated with the movement of "publishing as artistic practice."[2]
History[edit]
Starship was founded by the artists Ariane Müller, Gunter Reski, Hans-Christian Dany and Martin Ebner in 1998.[3]
The magazine's editorial board was expanded in later years. After the departure of Reski and Dany, Müller and Ebner were joined by Henrik Olesen and Nikola Dietrich (since 2014),[4] Gerry Bibby (since 2016)[5] and Mihaela Chiriac (since 2020).[6]
