Staysha Randall (born September 27, 1988) is an American paranormal investigator and social media personality. She is best known as among the first and most popular content creators using TikTok as a platform for paranormal investigation, and for her multiple appearances on Ghost Adventures. Randall has an extensive collection of purportedly haunted items.[1] In 2011, Randall broke the Guinness World Record for most body piercings in a single sitting.  [2]

Early Life[edit]

Randall's interest in the paranormal began after seeing a full-body apparition in her home at the age of 12. She would begin paranormal investigation as a hobby to overcome her fear of ghosts. As a teenager, Randall moved to Las Vegas to live with her father where she attended Cimarron-Memorial High School and worked as a dog groomer. [1]

Career[edit]

Timeline[edit]

Early Career: Haunted Houses (2000-2014)[edit]

Randall joined the Legion of Terror improv troupe in 2001 and trained as a scare actor at the Bloodview Haunted House in Broadview Heights, Ohio. In 2011, 2013, and 2014, Randall worked as a scare actor at JT Mollner's "Gates of Hell" extreme haunted house in Las Vegas, where she reported experiencing intense paranormal activity on the job. Her experiences were documented in a 2019 episode of Ghost Adventures.[3] Randall also worked as a scare artist for Eli Roth at Eli Roth's Goretorium, a year-round haunted house attraction on the Las Vegas strip, from its grand opening in 2012 through its closing in 2013.[1]

World Record For Most Body Piercings (2011)[edit]

On June 7, 2011, Randall broke the Guinness world record for most body piercings in a single session by enduring 3,200 piercings from professional body piercer Bill "Danger" Robinson at Inktoxicated Tattoos in Las Vegas, Nevada. It took seven and a half hours for Robinson to put the piercings in and two hours for three people to remove all the piercings after the event.[4][5][6][7]

Professional Wrestler & Sideshow Performer (2011-2017)[edit]

Between 2011-2017, Randall performed as a professional wrestler and sideshow performer for Sinn Bodhi's Freakshow Wrestling promotion where she was billed as the "Sin City Strongwoman." On March 3, 2012 Randall defeated punk rock band Radioactive Chicken Heads in a 3-v-1 handicap match. On October 29, 2014, Randall defeated 11 other wrestlers to win the Intergalactic Battle Royal and experienced a real-life concussion during the match when a wrestler struck her in the head with a steel chair.[8] Randall credits the injury for ending her professional wrestling career. After the incident, Randall would continue appearing for the promotion as a sideshow performer where she performed escapology and strongman acts such as rolling up frying pans with her bare hands, putting her hand and elbow in animal traps, crushing watermelons, and competing in tug-of-war competitions.[9] In 2015, Randall appeared on an episode of the reality television show Taxi Wars in costume as a Freakshow Wrestling performer.[10]

Haunted Museum & Ghost Adventures (2017-2020)[edit]

In 2017, Randall was among the first employees of Zak Bagan's Haunted Museum where she worked as a tour guide and tour manager. Randall reported experiencing paranormal activity at the museum on a near-daily basis and claims to have had thousands of experiences while working there.[11][12] Randall has appeared on three episodes of Zak Bagans' Travel Channel television show Ghost Adventures.[13] On one episode of the show, Randall held and interacted with Peggy The Doll, a haunted doll purported to be inhabited by a demon.[14]

TikTok & Live Ghost Hunting (2020-present)[edit]

Randall is best known as a content creator on TikTok. She joined the social media platform at the suggestion of her husband in June 2020 while quarantining during the COVID-19 pandemic. In her first four months as a TikTok content creator, her videos garnered over 33 million views and nearly 500,000 followers. In her videos, Randall has shared her collection of oddities, which includes an Aztec death whistle, antique medical tools, a human skull, and a number of haunted dolls. Randall also creates videos featuring her cats, comedy skits, and occasional cooking or makeup tutorials. Randall streams a live ghost hunting program on her channel multiple times a week, doing paranormal investigation at haunted locations such as cemeteries or in her haunted doll room with an assortment of haunted dolls and other items. Randall uses ghost hunting equipment such as EMF meters, spirit boxes, motion sensors, flashlights, laser thermometers, and structured light sensors.[15]

Personal Life[edit]

Randall married her husband in 2014 at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs in Las Vegas, Nevada. Professional wrestler Sinn Bodhi was the “flower girl” at their wedding.[1] Together, Randall and her husband share an interest in the paranormal and have investigated many purportedly haunted locations around the United States.[12]

Randall has suffered from gastroparesis since 2016, causing her to lose over 80 pounds from the disease. She considers herself immune-compromised and remained quarantined at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, which indirectly led to her discovering TikTok and becoming a content creator.[1]

In 2023, it was discovered that Staysha falsely accused Tiktok creator Goodtime Charley of inappropriate communications with a minor in the summer of 2022. After a police investigation found that the texts between Charley and the alleged "minor" were faked, and came directly from Staysha Randall, the police report was closed. As of October 2023, despite the closed police report, Staysha Randall refuses to remove her false accusations from the internet. Likewise, the Travel Channel still has not cut their financial association with Staysha Randall.[16]
