Stephan Schaub (born in 1969) is a Swiss former footballer who played in the late 1980s as midfielder.
Schaub joined FC Basel's first team in their 1987–88 season under head-coach Urs Siegenthaler. Schaub played his domestic league debut for the club in the last game of the season on 28 May 1988 as Basel played a goalless draw with Schaffhausen.[1] At the end of the 1987–88 Nationalliga A season, Schaub and the team suffered relegation but he stayed with the club for the following season.
His contract ran for two years and during this time Schaub played a total of four games for Basel without scoring a goal. One of these games were in the Nationalliga A, one in the Nationalliga B and two were friendly games.[2]
