Stephanie Locke
Stephanie (Steph) Locke, (born June 2, 1987) is a Welsh data scientist and female entrepreneur.[1][2] She is an advocate in the technology community space and focusses on making technology communities more inclusive. She is known for her conferences satRdays, and and her books.[3]
Life
Locke attended Cardiff University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy in 2008.[4] Locke is a co-founder of a Wales based Artificial Intelligence (AI) startup, Nightingale HQ.[5]
Locke has had experience with R since 2013[6] and is known for her open source contributions in R. Influential contributions include her work on RECON learn and SeroHub.[7][8] Locke is known for her work in teaching, [2], her contributions to R packages,[8] and her involvement with the data and data science communities including R Consortium, R-Ladies, SatRdays and PASS BoD.[9]
