Stephen Garden (born 30 August 1984 in London, United Kingdom) is an American entrepreneur, Tech Investor and Executive Chairman of Caylent Inc, which is a full spectrum AWS Cloud Native and DevOps consulting partner.[1][2] Stephen Garden was the founder and CEO of Onica, one of Amazon Web Services’ largest consulting partners. Onica was acquired by Rackspace in November 2019. Before being acquired, Onica grew to 350 employees across 12 offices in just 6 years, generating almost $200 million in revenue.[3][4]

In 2013, he pursued an MBA degree from London Business School.[5][6]
Career
In 2000, at the tender age of 16, Stephen Garden set up a “pirate” radio station as his first business project, which survived for three years before the U.K. government closed it down for violating the 1909 UK Wireless Telegraphy Act.[7] At the age of 27, he decided to enroll in an MBA program at the London Business School, one of the top business institutions in the world.[8] There, among other valuable topics, he spent countless unforgettable hours hearing successful people’s tales of creating successful businesses.[9] He finished his MBA program in 2013, and the following year he started a specialized consulting business in the exciting sector of cloud technology.[10] His business, Onica, was able to grow quickly by concentrating on a field of knowledge that was rapidly expanding (Amazon Web Services Cloud Platform).[11] Garden moved to Los Angeles after starting the new business. He entered the country on a student visa to spend a semester at Berkeley, but after falling in love with the country and its culture of unbridled entrepreneurship, he chose to stay. It grew to 350 personnel in 14 offices across four continents in just six years, making it one of Amazon's largest partners.[12] Prior to Rackspace's IPO in 2020, Onica had raised private equity capital, made two acquisitions, and been acquired by Rackspace.[13][14]
