Stephen John Wynn (born 17 July 1958) is an English author who writes non-fiction books on military history, and fictional crime novels. His first book, Two Sons in a War Zone was published in 2010, and since then he has had a further forty-eight over books published on topics from the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Vietnam War, and biography's on inidividual's such as Winston Churchill, Walter Tull and Joachim Peiper.

Early Life

The son of a bus driver, Wynn was born in Leeds, Yorkshire. He was educated at Woodlands Comprehensive School, Basildon, Essex and later attended Basildon College, where he studied history.

Career

Before becoming an author, Wynn served as a Constable with Essex Police for 30 years between August 1983 and August 2013. During this time he spent nearly 9 years working on a specialist firearms unit.
