Steve Pilot (born October 9, 1980) is a German Personal Trainer, Author, Fitness Coach, Model, Actor and Vegan Nutritionist based in Bangkok, Thailand. Steve has provided fitness and dietary training to Araya A. Hargate, Preeti Barameeanant, Shannon Wiratchai, Lydia Sarunrat Deane, Anorma Sarunsikarin, and Jannine Weigel.[1][2][3][4]
His training methods are High Intensity Interval Training and High Intensity Functional Training. Other methods he uses to train are Kettlebell, Calisthenics, Flexibility, Yoga, weightlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, strength and conditioning, martial arts Wing Chun a Southern Chinese kung fu style of self-defence, and handstands emphasizing a plant based or vegan diet.[5][6][7]
He has modelled, authored and been featured in articles in Men’s Health, Associated Press, The Times , Yahoo! News, Medium, Apple News and The New York Age, modelling, writing about fitness, exercise, personal training, diet and nutrition.[8][9][10][11][12][13][14]
Steve Pilot has done commercials and served as a brand ambassador for Harley Davidson and Sunnex Jeans TV Commercial in a joint awareness campaign between the motorcycle company and apparel company, Triumph Motorcycles and Ed Hardy Apparel in a TV Commercial backed by Triumph Motorcycles and Ed Hardy clothing, BMW Mini Cooper S and Schnelle Auto Car Wash TV Commercial in a partnership about the Schnelle car wash technology with Mini Cooper presence.[15][16][17]
As a model, Steve has been modeled in Men’s Health a magazine inclined towards the grooming and wellbeing of men, Center Stage Magazine (ISSUU) on the cover of Men's issue 305, Epidemic Sound as the cover model for the Youtube: Workout Challenge, Muscle & Fitness Magazine a cover model for an issue, Sunnex Jeans Campaign 2017 modeling alongside other models and Finn & Gunnar as a Model & Brand Ambassador.[18][19][20][21][22][23]
He has authored two books that have been best sellers on Amazon reaching number two and three respectively. In 2018 he authored and published GET FIT PROGRAM: Mindset Nutrition Fitness and in 2019 authored and published VEGAN FOR BEGINNERS GUIDE which has also been published on the Thailand website Fitterminal[24][25][26]
Early Life[edit]
Steve Pilot was born on October 9, 1980 in Munich, Germany. Steve started lifting weights at the age of 13. Although his interest was in fitness, Steve pursued a bachelor's degree in Engineering in 2000. After his studies, Steve enlisted to serve his country in the military. He was born in a family that had military servicemen and he went on to serve the German Special Forces as part of the Fallschirmjäger airborne platoon. His service as a paratrooper in airborne operations lasted for two years.
After leaving the military, Steve went back to engineering school receiving his Masters in Automotive Engineering in 2002. Later, he worked as a technical engineer fixing automobiles. His interest to see and experience different cultures, cuisines, and people had him travel seven different continents visiting eighty countries.
With a stronger drive for fitness and nutrition than engineering, Steve resolved to leave his profession and pursue a full-time career in fitness and nutrition. Steve's travels and experiences ignited his drive towards healthy living and an active lifestyle. Having acquired training and education in fitness and nutrition, Steve settled in Bangkok, Thailand to practice and provide training and advice in fitness, nutrition, and Sports medicine.[27]
Career[edit]
Steve Pilot has been active in fitness ad nutrition for 27 years training, learning, growing, and using the knowledge and skills acquired along the way to impact the lives of others. He trained in weightlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit, strength and conditioning, martial arts specifically Wing Chun a Southern Chinese kung fu style of self-defence.[28]
From 2013-2018, Steve Pilot worked as a fitness model, an actor, a personal trainer, and later, a fitness model for Phuket-based gym, Unit 27. In addition, Steve went on to further study Sports Medicine and worked as a fitness coach. Constantly expanding his knowledge, Steve started to practice yoga and handstands to date.
As of 2020, Steve has released two fitness and dietary books, Vegan for Beginners Guide and Get Fit Program, both available on Amazon. As a result of his travels and experiences in fitness training and nutrition, Steve created a fitness enterprise known as Steve Pilot Fitness where he practices as a fitness coach, personal trainer, and vegan nutritionist. Steve holds professional certifications in CPR/ AED , Precision Nutrition and National Academy of Sports Medicine[29][30][31]
Music Video Appearances[edit]
Steve has made appearances as a model and actor in music videos by Thailand based musicians Bankk Cash in the video Don't Say Yes where he acted and modeled with the video reaching 1.8 million You Tube views at the time of release and Cursed by Lunatic which reached 160 thousand YouTube views at the time of release.[32][33]
Vegan Activism[edit]
Steve Pilot is an advocate for animal rights and vegan nutrition. He holds certifications in nutrition. He advocates for clean-eating, a balanced diet, and a cruelty-free approach to life. He has modeled as a vegan athlete for Center Stage Magazine and Muscle & Fitness Magazine and worked as a brand ambassador for fitness brands and vegan businesses. Over the years, Steve has created a fitness program centered around vegan and plant-based nutrition contrary to the stereotype of not being able to build muscles on a plant-based diet.[34][35][36]
