Steve Hardy is an American mix engineer, mastering engineer, composer, and record producer. He has worked with well-known producers such as Steve Lillywhite [1] and artists such as Big Tymers on their RIAA Platinum selling album Hood Rich [2], Ronny Jordan on his Grammy nominated album ‘A Brighter Day’ [3] [4], Patti Smith [5], Marty Friedman [6], Lyle Workman [7], Vertical Horizon [8], Philip Glass [9], and Richard Marx [10].
Life and career[edit]
Steve Fletcher Hardy was born in Dallas, Texas and raised in Atlanta,Georgia. After earning an Audio Engineering degree he moved to New York City in 1997 to pursue his career in the music industry. He shortly began working at Unique Recording Studios [11]. During his career Hardy has gone on to work at such famed studios such as Sound on Sound Studios (staff engineer) [12], Capital Records [13], Henson Studios [14], Avatar Studios [15], Studio City Sound [16], Unique Recording Studios [17], and Electric Lady Studios [18]. His credits range from Assistant Engineer, Lead Engineer, Composer, Performer, Producer, Production Design, and photographer [19] . His credits see him working on varied projects ranging from Grammy nominated and certified Platinum records as well as film [20] and television. [21] [22] Hardy now resides in Los Angeles, CA.
