Steven Battelle is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He is a the founding member of rock band LostAlone and a songwriter for other artists.

After a hiatus, LostAlone reformed in November 2019 to work on new music and were subsequently asked by My Chemical Romance to support them in a series of stadium shows[1] in the summer of 2020 (postponed to due to Covid until 2022)[1] in October 2021. In July 2022, LostAlone announced a head-lining tour of the UK[2].[3]

Steven regularly credits the band Queen and specifically guitarist Brian May as being a significant influence on his musical style.[4] He is also considered an authoritative figure on the band and appeared on ITV national news discussing the recently (2023) discovered song Face It Alone.

At different times he has referenced The Lord Of The Rings, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Star Wars, Home Alone, Jeff Lynne and the musical Les Miserables as big influences on his songs.

LostAlone[edit]

LostAlone have released four studio albums: Say No to the World (2007), I'm a UFO in This City (2012) and Shapes of Screams 2014. The Warring Twenties 2022 all of which revived critical acclaim from the rock / alternative media.

As Lead vocalist, guitars and songwriter for critically acclaimed UK band LostAlone. The band have toured the UK and mainland Europe both headlining and supporting notable artists such as My Chemical Romance, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Enter Shikari and Paramore. They have also made appearances at festivals such as Taste of Chaos, Give it a Name, Download, Reading, T in the Park, Oxegen and Rock am Ring. They received their first major award nomination when they were nominated for "Best British Newcomer" at the Kerrang! Awards in 2007.

Songwriting[edit]

Steven spent most of 2021 / 2022 working with and co-writing the 7th album from pop rock band Mcfly The resulting album Power To Play was released on June 9th 2023 and entered the UK chart at number 2.

Steven has a writing team called SideQuest with Danny Jones & Dougie Poynter which formed in 2023 and is busy with sessions co writing and producing artists.

Steven has spent time in Nashville & LA writing songs with many artists & writers including Sarah Ross, Jefferey James, Jodi Marr, Ray Toro.

Steven co-wrote the Cody Frost song "(I should) Take Better Care)".

Steven is managed for songwriting by JonnieRay and for LostAlone by 30th Century Management.

Represented for live shows by Beckie Sugden at CAA.
