Biography[edit]

S. Carson Booth is a global hospitality technology leader with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Booth has a unique global perspective on hospitality and technology trends as a result of his expansive career beginning in gaming operations in Las Vegas and living in five countries. As a passionate traveller, Booth has visited more than 60 countries over the last two decades.

In his immediate prior roles, as General Manager, Booth was responsible for the day to day operations of Starwood International Licensing Company S.à.r.l., while concurrently serving as Global Vice President, Property Technology Group, for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc..

Starwood's Global Property Technology group was responsible for establishing and executing the technology strategy for brand and guest innovation, merger and acquisition integration, IT operations and compliance across 1300+ hotels and offices in 100 countries, prior to Starwood's acquisition by Marriott International. Key innovation successes of the group include mobile/keyless check-in, cloud property management and point-of-sale technology adoption, and hotspot 2.0 programs.

Booth is a frequent speaker and at industry events and author of industry related topics[1], currently serves on several boards, is a past director of Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals and Hotel Technology Next Generation[2], and is the chairman of both the 2017 and 2018 HITEC Amsterdam Advisory Councils.[3]

Originally from Texas and raised in the US-south, Carson relocated from Las Vegas to Europe for ITT Sheraton in the mid '90s . He has since enjoyed living in London, Brussels, Luxembourg and now lives in Berlin with his wife and young daughter. In his free time, he enjoys yoga, traveling, wine, golf and flying.

Booth holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Computer Science from University of Nevada Las Vegas.
