Steven Forti

Steven Forti (born in 1981) is an Italian historian.

He was born in Trento in 1981.[1] He obtained a PhD in History in 2011 at the Autonomous University of Barcelona reading a thesis directed by Pere Ysàs and Luciano Casali; the thesis was the basis of El peso de la nación. Nicola Bombacci, Paul Marion y Óscar Pérez Solís en la Europa de entreguerras (2014), in which he deals with the drift towards fascist positions of left-wing politicians during the Interwar period.[2][n. 1] In 2017 Forti co-edited along Enric Ucelay-Da Cal and Arnau Gonzàlez i Vilalta El Proceso separatista en Cataluña. Análisis de un pasado reciente (2006-2017), which deals with the recent developments of the Catalan independence movement.[4]

He is a member of the "Centre d’Estudis sobre les Èpoques Franquista i Democràtica" (CEFID) and the "Seminario Interuniversitario de Investigadores del Fascismo" (SIdIF).[2]
