Prince is credited as a producer for both Scorsese's 1978 music documentary, The Last Waltz and the 1978 Scorsese-focused, made for television documentary Movies Are My Life.

In the 1978 film American Boy: A Profile of Steven Prince, Prince is interviewed by Martin Scorsese in the presence of peers such as George Memmoli and Mardik Martin. In the film, Prince states that prior to 1978, he had worked labor intensive jobs in the production of music gigs. He also states that he was a road manager for Neil Diamond. Movies Are My Life sees Prince interviewed yet again, but in this instance about Martin Scorsese.
