Stephen Yanni, known professionally as Stevie Soprano, is a tristate hip hop artist currently making a name for himself in Miami, Florida. Soprano spent much of his childhood living in both Philadelphia as well as the South Jersey area.[1][2][3][4]
Career[edit]
He graduated from Oakcrest High School in Hamilton, New Jersey. Despite his place of residence, Soprano’s love for making music remained consistent throughout his upbringing. He has been writing and recording his own original songs ever since the tender age of 13.[3]
Many prominent figures in hip hop are familiar with Stevie Soprano due to Soprano’s clever antics, which would involve tracking down the locations of certain celebrities and serenading them with some of his rhymes. These antics were quite effective and worked in Soprano’s favor with a few notable individuals such as 50 Cent, Fat Joe, and Sway Calloway. Soprano has performed original music in major cities, including Washington D.C., New York City, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Miami.
He has performed at the annual Hollywood ASCAP Expo, Carolines on Broadway, and even on Sway in The Morning. Currently, Soprano has a little over a dozen songs that can be streamed on all platforms.[3]
Stevie Soprano is determined to reach the ultimate level of success with his music craft. In June 2020, Soprano almost lost his life during an armed robbery in Miami. While retrieving money from the bank to prepare for a music video shoot, Soprano was followed by assailants, robbed of the money he had obtained, pistol-whipped, and shot twice. The two months that Soprano spent in recovery helped him to realize the importance of always operating defensively, never being careless, and focusing on his passion. The challenging experience ultimately molded Stevie Soprano into an even stronger artist for hip hop fans to gravitate toward.[5][3]
