Strawberry Shortcake is the title of an upcoming American/Canadian CGI-animation television series and the third television installment in the Strawberry Shortcake franchise.[1]

Production[edit]

By 2017, DHX Media acquired the franchise and brand from its previous owners, and confirmed that a rebooted installment would be in the works. In 2018, Reel FX Animation Studios and Splash Entertainment played a role in pre-production.[2][3][4]

DHX Media also confirmed that 39 episodes were originally planned to be produced, but also known that more episodes would be in progress after the proposed amount was produced.[5]

Distribution would involve distributing the episode content of the series across more than 120 countries worldwide, including merchandise, such as dolls, toys, and accessories of the Iconix Brand Group.
