Studomatrix

Studomatrix is an independent Indian school students' organization which aims to provide a platform to school students specifically in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.[1] It claims to be the largest school students led and composed organization in the world with over 25000 student volunteers from over 150 cities. [1] It was started in December 2019 by Falit Sijariya,[1] then a class 12th school student of Meerut. It aims to provide opportunities beyond curriculum and focus on skill development among school students. Its leadership keeps on shifting among current school students. It shot to fame in the first lockdown when it conducted 9 online competitions and gathered massive response across the country.[1] [2][3] Over a period of time it started 15 skill verticals and has school and city units throughout the country which organize competitions, workshops, etc. in an autonomous manner. When the second wave hit the country, it brought together school students to provide aid in accessing resources through Studomatrix Covid Sahayata Kendra, which gained wide popularity.[4][5][6][7] Its environment vertical named StudoPrakriti[8] has also been very active in the past which has noted environmental activist Ridhima Pandey as its mentor. Foundation
It was founded in December 2019 when Falit Sijariya got together student body members of various schools in Meerut. Its first meeting was then conducted in January 2020. When the lockdown hit the country, it had a force of young technically-minded school students who then organized 9 competitions in a span of 8 days.[2] From there they started organizing various competitions, workshops, webinars, etc. They targeted to self-organize students in a model where their initiatives can get a ready platform. They also issue a magazine called StudoSpectrum which was launched by India's G20 Sherpa and former Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. [10][1] They then ventured into formation of school and city units which now work in an autonomous manner. Falit was also the finalist of Jagran Josh Educational Awards Popular Choice Category because of Studomatrix. [11]
Initiatives
It uses its events in a themed manner for the promotion of various causes. Its environmental vertical StudoPrakriti celebrated Environment Day as well as Yoga Day.[9][8] It also collaborated with noted environmentalist Sumaira Abdulali, the Founder of Awaaz Foundation.[12] To provide budding writers and poets it collaborated with African-American e-publication and digital company Writer's Block Production to launch Writer's Block Kids. [13] It also has its own blog and magazine titled StudoSpectrum.[10][1] It conducted an International Conference titled The Studomatrix International Conclave (StudoCon) which had webinars by Suresh Prabhu, Lt. Gen. Syed Ata Hasnain, Central Minister Shripad Yesso Naik, Olympic medalist Yogeshwar Dutt, environmentalist Ridhima Pandey, Everest climbers Arunima Sinha and Shivangi Pathak among others. The most widespread of its initiatives has been its "Studomatrix Covid Sahayata Kendra" where its volunteers help people in searching for beds, oxygen, plasma, medicines, etc. when India is dealing with the second wave of Covid-19. [4][6][5][7][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27] It is being led by its current Directors Ansh Garg, Avani Singh and Rishay (All three class 12 students).
