Study Hall School is an English medium co-educational Secondary School in Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, India.
It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education.
History[edit]
The school was founded by Dr Urvashi Sahni, an alumnus of University of California Berkeley, in 1986, following an initiative started by Dr. Sahni at her home to provide education to poor children through Digital Media. It was established under the aegis of Study Hall Educational Foundation.
Divisions[edit]
The Study Hall School is divided into two sub divisions:
1.)The Prep School:- The Prep School is an educational institution which provides education from Playgroup to UKG(Prep). It is headed by a subordinate Principal. Mrs. Shashi is the current Principal succeeding Mrs. Das .
2.)Study Hall School :- It is divided into two sections
i)Junior Wing (Class 1 to 5) :- Headed by subordinate Head Mistress. Mrs. Bani Malhotra is the current holder of the post succeeding Mrs. Shalini Chandra.
ii)Senior Wing(Class 6 to 12):- Headed by the Principal of Study Hall School . As mentioned earlier Principal of the Prep School and the Head Mistress of the junior wing are subordinate to the Principal of Study Hall though both are independent in taking their decisions. Mrs. Shalini Sinha is incumbent as Principal of Study Hall School completing her tenure of 5 years in 2017. She succeeded Mr. Kevin Arnold Da Costa in 2012.
The Study Hall School is a part of nonprofit Study Hall Educational Foundation (SHEF). The Study Hall Educational Foundation was established with the objective of imparting quality education to children.
