Suad Salimova (born on March 19, 1993, in Baku) is an Azerbaijani professional fighter nicknamed "Iron Girl". World champion in K1, world champion in WTKA version, 4-time champion of Azerbaijan in kickboxing, 3-time republican champion in Wushu-Sanda.[2][3]

Life[edit]

Suad Salimova was born on March 19, 1993 in the city of Baku. She graduated from Baku Slavic University, Faculty of Regional Studies. She has been living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands since 2017. Suad begun her sport when she was 16 years old .[4]

Career[edit]

First time when she came to Holland she was training in the famous gym “Mikes gym “ with Big Mike. She begun to fight professional fights in K1.[5] Her first professional fight was in Uae -Abu Dhabi in 2016. Later on she was fighting in many countries such a Moldova , Bulgaria , Russia ,Georgia, Italy,Holland ,etc. In 2016 she begun to learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu and from there she decided to fight mma.Now Suad train and fight only in mma,developing her wrestling and bjj.[6] Her trainer is Rodney Van Der Vlugt in the Netherlands. In 2014, she became the champion of the K1 competition in Georgia. In 2015, she won the Wushu Sanda competition in St. Petersburg In 2015, she became the champion of K1 competition in Iran.[7] In 2015, she became the world champion in the WTKA version competition held in Spain. In 2016, she won a silver medal in the WTKA version competition in Romania.[8] She has been the winner of the "Muscle Show K1" competition held in Dubai since 2017. She won a silver medal at the 2018 Naga Grappling Championship in Amsterdam. Gold Medal in grappling championship in Brussel in 2022.[9][10][11]
