Suchethan Rangaswamy or Suchetan Rangaswamy (born 18 June 1979) is an Indian Carnatic music vocalist. He is one of the mentors in Zee Kannada's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. He was a carnatic vocalist and veena player in Timeless, the Jim Ankan Deka album. He has acted in television serials and films named Muktha Muktha, Chitralekha, Putta Gowri Maduve, Anuraga Sangama and Nagini.[1] He was trained by Padma Bhushan R. K. Srikantan, P. Unnikrishnan, P Ramaa, Sarvamangala Shankar, Anantha Vaidyanathan and M S Vidya.[2][3]

Suchethan also took training in Veena under T Sharada and Ganakalabhushana Suma Sudhindra.[4] He founded Sumadhura Education and Cultural Trust, with the help of his parents. He along with his wife Sindhu, teaches vocal and instrumental lessons at the institute.[3]

Education[edit]

Suchethan completed his Engineering at M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology and currently pursuing his PhD in voice culture at University of Swahili.[1][4][5][6]

Musical Career[edit]

As a mentor

Suchethan has trained the voice culture techniques to the Indian expatriates and American students at Jacksonville, Southern California, Las Vegas, Milwaukee, Kansas and Chicago.[3]

He had guided the current playback singers Aishwarya Rangarajan and Sanjth Hegde, when they were the participants in Zee Kannada's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.[7]

He had trained Rahul Vellal in Carnatic music at the age of 4.[8][9]

As a composer

Suchethan composed, penned and sung the track titled Olave, a love song released in Anand Audio.[10]
