Suchitra Ella
Suchitra Ella is the Managing Director of Bharat Biotech, a leading vaccine maker from India, which she co-founded with her husband Dr. Krishna Ella in 1996. She is the recipient of Padma Bhushan jointly with her husband in 2022 for her achievmemnts in making the country self-reliant in vaccines.[1]
Ella holds a graduate in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Madras and has a diploma in business development from UWCU—Madison, a diploma in real estate management from University of South Carolina and post-graduate diploma in patent law from NALSAR—Hyderabad.[2]
She has also received the South Indian Business Achievers Award 2016, Zee TV Best Women Entrepreneur Award, SAARC Women Entrepreneur Award, Women in Healthcare Award - Golden Jubilee Biotech Park for Woman Society, FICCI FLO Influential Women Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Biotech Industry, Andhra Chamber of Commerce – Business Excellence Award, AP Entrepreneurship Award.[citation needed]
