Sumit Pathak (Born: 31 March 2000) is a Nepalese singer, songwriter, and composer who rose to fame after winning the golden microphone in Kathmandu auditions and second runner up in the second season of Nepalese TV series Nepal Idol.[1][2][3][4][5]. He had given vocal in America Boys Movie song entitled 'Aama' before starting Nepal Idol Journey.[6][7]

Sumit Pathak participated in Nepalese reality television show Nepal Idol and he managed to win golden microphone in the audition round.[8] He had been highest voted contestant in few episodes.[9] He also became second runner up in the show with Ravi Oad as winner and Bikram Baral as first runner up.[10][11] He got the prize of 15 Lakhs NPR along with world tour.[12]

- Nepal Idol season 2 second runner up Sumit Pathak released his debut song 'Samachar' ft. Shikshya Sangraula[13][14]
- On 2019, Sumit performed for famous legendary Indian Singer Asha Bhosle during her five days visit to Nepal along with various other artists.[15]
- In the reunion episode of Nepal Idol on 5 March 2020, he performed his own song 'Samachar' with Nepal Idol season three contestant Neshan Pun Magar.[16]

Sumit Pathak with Nepal Idol top six contestants started first international tour from Japan. They performed in various cities of Japan including Fukuoka and Tokyo.[17]. Sumit also visited South Korea, Australia and America.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24]
