Summertime Friends is the fifth studio album by American DJ and production duo the Chainsmokers. It was released on October 20, 2023, via Disruptor and Columbia Records. This album includes production credits from Ian Kirkpatrick and Ethan Snoreck. This album was preceded by six singles until the duo released the album, featuring the seventh track. "Jungle" and "My Bad" were pushed to US Pop radio.
On November 10, 2023, a remix EP of "Jungle" was released, including an acoustic version.[1]
Background[edit]
Prior to the former single, the duo released two singles, "Wish on an Eyelash, Pt. 2" featuring Mallrat and "Make Me Feel" with Cheyenne Giles, that were anticipated as being part of the album but were not on the release. On April 21, 2023, The Chainsmokers released the former, "Up & Down", featuring 347aidan. In June, the duo released "Self Destruction Mode", featuring Bludnymph and "See You Again". In July, the duo released "Celular", a collaboration with Nicky Jam and Maluma and "My Bad", featuring Shenseea. The final single, "Summertime Friends" was released on September 8.
Commercial performance[edit]
Summertime Friends peaked at No. 15 on the US Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart.[2]
