SunKid is a surface lift manufacturer based in Imst, Austria. The company was formed in 1996, with installations in 75 countries around the world.[1] The first test of a Sunkid carpet was on September 25th at the Kaunertal glacier. Specializing in user-friendly designs, almost all products are geared towards novice skiers and snowboarders, with the exception of traditional roller coasters and mountain coasters.
Most installations are within North America and in Europe, and are used mainly for beginner skiers. SunKid is mainly known for their covered magic carpets, platter pulls and t-bars, but also offers a safe and accessible mode of transport uphill while learning how to ski, or snowboard.[2]
