Suno India is a three-year old podcast network started in India by three co-founders with varied backgrounds. Suno India’s launch podcast was Dear Pari, a podcast on child adoption and since then has grown to 20+ shows with 500 episodes in 5 languages covering a range of topics from public health to climate change to current affairs.

Suno India is a grantee of the Independent Public Spirited Media Foundation (IPSMF) since 2019. It has also received support from Internews[1] and Google News Initiative to support its coverage during COVID pandemic. The platform is also backed by prominent Tollywood producer Shobu Yarlagadda, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arka Media Works.

Suno India was founded in 2018 by DVL Padma Priya, a journalist and communication professional, Rakesh Kamal, a climate change analyst and Tarun Nirwan, an IT and Digital marketing expert.

Suno India is India’s first audio-only platform to be supported by Independent and public-spirited media foundation IPSMF.

Suno India was awarded Google News Initiative grants for their reporting on COVID-19 in 2020.

Suno India got a grant from Internews for their reporting on COVID-19 in 2020.
