T.H Subramaniam ( Trippunithura Harihara Subramaniam ) a.k.a T.H. , an eminent violinist in the field of both Carnatic and Hindustani Music
Profile[edit]
T.H.Subramaniam was born in 18th October 1967 to Violinist T.S.Harihara Iyer and N Kamalam at Trippunithura, Kerala .He hails from the family of Musician.He is trained violin with his elder sisters T.H.Lalitha and T.H.Vasantha under the tutelage of his father late T.S. Hariharaiyer at the age of 4.His first solo public stage performance ( arangettam ) was at Guruvayur Sreekrishna Temple on the occasion of Ekadasi festival at the age of 12.Later he passed BA Graduate in Economics from Maharajas College Ernakulam.During the college days he won first prizes in several violin competitions in University Youth Festivals .

He is playing violin for over fourty years as a soloist and accompanist
All India Radio[edit]
In 1991 he Joined as All India Radio A Grade staff Artist in Mangalore . In 2018 retired as Grade I Artist from AIR , Thrissur.During these period he performed Several Violin Solos,Jugalbandhis for AIR and Doordarshan. He also performed in the national programme of AIR and Doordarshan and also peformed in the Akasvani Sangeetha Sammelen.
As accompanist[edit]
As one of seniormost violinists in kerala, T.H.Subramaniam has accompanied all the senior and leading musicians like Neyyattinkara Vasudevan, Madurai T. N. Seshagopalan, T.V. Sankaranarayanan,T.R.Subramanyam, R.K.Srikantan Dr.K.J.Yesudas, OS Thaygarajan ,Seetha Narayanan, Parassala B Ponnammal, Dr K Omanakutty,Bombay Sisters,Hyderabad Sisters etc . And also Accompanied with instrumentalist like Flautist Dr.N.Ramani,KS Gopalakrishnan,TS Sankaran, Shashank Subramaniam,Mysore Chandankumar,Mandolin exponents like UP Raju ,Chitravina player N Ravikiran etc .And also performed with well-known accompanying artist on mridangam like Mavelikkara Velukutty Nair, Ramanathapuram CS Murugbhoopathy, Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman,Guruvayur Dorai,Dr. T.K. Moorthy , Palakkad R.Raghu, Karaikudi Mani, Vellore Ramabadran ,Trichy Sankaran. Etc.
Solo Performer[edit]
T.H Subramaniam has specialised in different bhanies of M.S.Gopalakrishan, Lalgudi Jayaraman and TN Krishnan and it is noted in his mesmerizing violin solo performances and at the time of accompaniment. He also specialized in Hindustani music.He is one of the carnatic violinist rendering both Hindustani and Carnatic raga in their own style.He also tried to introduce Hindustani ragas like Purya,Madhuvanthi, Shyamkalyan, Basant etc. at the time of rendering Ragam Thanam Pallavi of carnatic music.He is performing several Jugalbandhis with Sitar Maestro Ustad Rafique Khan .He also had opportunity to play under auspicious of a Navarathri Mandapam at Thiruvananthapuram in the divine atmosphere of Saraswathy Mandapam conducted by Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple trust.He continuing his solo performance over 28 years at Dakshina Mookambika Temple, North Paravur

Raagasamanwaya is the serialized youtube telecast performs by TH Subramaniam in his Youtube channel deals with the musical theme on the basis of the relationship between the carnatic and hindustani raagaas of indian music.

Recoginition and awards[edit]
T.H.Subramaniam has also several awards to his credit, the most recent being the ‘Best Senior Violinist;’confered by the Indian Fine Arts Soceity of Chennai(2002). Kerala State award of Kerala Sangeetha Natak Academy (2009). MaharajapuramSanthanam meritorious award from MaharajapuramSanthanam foundation Chennai (2017).
Teaching[edit]
He is a dedicated teacher and has taught numerous students in India and abroad, many of whom are very popular artists. He generously encourages students to participate in full measure. He has also conducted online violin class for students who do not have access to learn directly from a guru
