Early life[edit]
Susan Dysinger was born in Corsicana, Texas.
Career in Art[edit]
Dysinger received a BA in art, specializing in drawing and painting at UC Santa Barbara. In 1973, Dysinger began her early printmaking at the Laguna Beach School of Art, combining her love of American Jazz into her Aquatint Prints. She created mono-types emphasizing African-American culture, blues and jazz at her printmaking studio in Laguna Beach, California. By 1975, she became a regular exhibitor at the annual summer Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and the Sawdust Festival.
