Svitlana Bevza (Ukrainian: Світлана Бевза; 9 September 1982) is a Ukrainian fashion designer based in Kyiv, Ukraine.


Svitlana Bevza was born in Kyiv, Ukraine.

She graduated in Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.[1]

In 2006, Svitlana founded her own brand BEVZA.

From 2006 to 2013, her collections were presented at the Ukrainian Fashion Week in Kyiv twice a year.

Since 2007 pret-a-porter collections of the brand are also presented in multi-brand boutiques in the United States, United Kingdom, China, as well as in a prestigious Milan showroom, and surely in numerous boutiques all over Ukraine.

Since 2011 designer of the brand Svitlana Bevza has been creating 4 full collections per year.

In May 2013, Svitlana won the award "The Best Womenswear Designer of 2013" of Best Fashion Awards.[2][3]

In 2014, BEVZA became the first Ukrainian brand to enter the final of the Vogue Talents in Milan.[4][5]

From 2014 to 2016, Svitlana Bevza was presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi.[6][7]

Since 2017, Svitlana's brand has been presented at New York Fashion Week. In September 2017, Svitlana Bevza focused on showing the rough political situation in Ukraine in a pared-back way, titling the collection "Realitics" — a mash-up of reality and politics.[8] In February 2018, Svitlana presented "Faux Reality" collection within New York Fashion Week.[9] Since 2018, Svitlana shows "Ready-to-Wear" collections in New York.[10][11][12][13]

In November 2018, she won the award for "Best Womenswear Designer" in Ukraine from the Elle Style Awards.[14]

In November 2019, Svitlana won the award "The Best Womenswear Designer of 2019" of Best Fashion Awards.[15][16][17]


Minimalism, aristocratism, simplicity, sensuality, accuracy are brand identity of BEVZA. Accents are made in perfect strict cut, clear sharp lines and simple forms, comfort and individuality. Among of the most famous designers in Ukraine, BEVZA was a first brand that reminded strict, accurate cocktail dresses as ‘must have' in every wardrobe. BEVZA is famous and wanted in Ukraine for its dresses, especially for its ‘little white dress', which is modified and shown in every collection. In their collections, BEVZA uses faux fur.[18]

In May 2019, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner wore one of the BEVZA designer’s white jumpsuits to wed Joe Jonas at A Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas.[19][20] On top of that, the clothes have wound up on Emily Ratajkowski[21], Dakota Johnson[22], Bella Hadid[23] and Gigi Hadid,[24] among other models and glitterati.

Personal life[edit]

Svitlana Bevza is married to Volodymyr Omelyan[25], former Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine. They have two children: a son and a daughter.
