AISA 3rd West Bengal state conference
The Third West Bengal State[2] AISA conference was held on 9th August in Kolkata. The conference started by paying tribute to the martyrs of the Bhangar anti-landgrab movement, comrades Mofijul and Alamgir.
When all opportunities for dignified and secured employment have been destroyed during the two consecutive tenures of TMCP, and when desperate communal polarisation is being designed by RSS and BJP in Bengal, a left resistance that has the vision of uniting student youth with the agenda of equal, quality education for all and dignified employment for all is the only way out.
AISA's conference recognised that task and is committed to building popular resistance against the order of the day.
Comrade Swarnendu Mitra[3] has been elected as the new state secretary and Comrade Nilasis Bose has been elected as the new state president of WB AISA. Comrade Ranajoy Sen Gupta, the outgoing secretary, has been released from AISA and will continue his work among the Revolutionary Youth Association.
