Swarnendu Mitra (born 11 December 1994) is an Indian politician, belonging to the All India Students Association. He is current West Bengal state Secretary of Aisa since 2017.[1] He is also a state commitee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation.
Early life[edit]
Swarnendu Mitra is born on 11 December in Dumdum. He is a student of Baranagar Ramkrishna Mission. He completed his graduation from University of Calcutta. He graduated with a degree in economics from University of Calcutta. He completed his master degree also from University of Calcutta.
Political Career[edit]
Comrade Swarnendu Mitra join All India Students Association on 2009. He is current west bengal state secretary of Aisa from 2017.
Swarnendu Mitra is a West Bengal state comitee member of Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) Liberation from 2020.
Aisa 3rd west bengal state conference[edit]
Third West Bengal State[2] AISA conference held on 9th August in Kolkata. The conference started by paying tribute to martyrs of Bhangar anti-landgrab movement comrade Mofijul and Comrade Alamgir.
When all opportunities of dignified and secured employment have been destroyed during the two consecutive tenures of TMCP, when desperate communal polarisation is being designed by RSS and BJP in Bengal, a left resistance that has the vision of uniting the student youth with the agenda of equal, quality education for all and dignified employment for all is the only way out.
AISA's conference recognised that task and is committed to build up popular resistance against the order of the day.
Comrade Swarnendu Mitra[3] has been elected as the new state secretary and Comrade Nilasis Bose has been elected as the new state president of WB AISA. Comrade Ranajoy Sen Gupta outgoing secretary has been released from AISA and will continue his work among the Revolutionary Youth Association.
Attack on Swarnendu Mitra[edit]
On 19 November 2019, All India Students Association claim that Bharatiya Janata party have brutally attack on AISA activists who held protest against crackdown on JNU students. Aisa west bengal state secretary Swarnendu Mitra and comrade Subhadeep along with severely injured.[4]

He is brother of Soumendu Mitra, The Aisa Kolkata district secretary and the West Bengal state committee member of All India Students Association.
