Swedish Electromobility Centre

Swedish Electromobility Centre is a national research and competence centre for e-mobility, such as electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles and infrastructure. The centre performs industry relevant research and study different e-mobility technologies to assess their potential.

The centre works as a node for interaction between academia, industry and society. It includes five technical universities, industrial and societal partners and is funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and the other partners. The centre is hosted by Chalmers University of Technology.

History[edit]

Swedish Electromobility Centre was founded as Svenskt el- och hybridfordonscentrum by the Swedish Energy Agency in 2007 together with partners in the Swedish vehicle industry and academia. The name was changed as of Februari 1st, 2017.[1]
