Swindon Storm, established in 2012, are an American football team based in Swindon, competing in SFC 2 East of the BAFA National Leagues (BAFANL). They compete their home games at the North Swindon sports complex Supermarine Sports and Social Club (Supermarine RFC).
History[edit]
The formation of Swindon Storm began with Steve Bennett. The club's formation marked the end for a fifteen year absence of American football in Swindon.
The team has received funding from both Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council; this has enabled the team to provide free training to players fourteen or older using the club's equipment. In 2017, a £10,000 grant was secured to kit the team.[1]
