Swindon Storm, established in 2012, are an American football team based in Swindon, competing in SFC 2 East of the BAFA National Leagues (BAFANL). They compete their home games at the North Swindon sports complex Supermarine Sports and Social Club (Supermarine RFC).
History
The formation of Swindon Storm began with Steve Bennett. The club's formation marked the end of a fifteen-year absence of American football in Swindon.
The team has received funding from both Wiltshire Council and Swindon Borough Council; this has enabled the team to provide free training to players fourteen or older using the club's equipment. In 2017, a £10,000 grant was secured to kit the team.[1]
