Swipe Right
Swipe Right is a theatre comedy written by Canadian playwright C. J. Wilkins. The play received its world premiere at the Kelowna Forum in Kelowna in November, 2018. The play breaks traditional theatre boundaries by inviting the audience to use their smartphones to follow the matches, text conversations and photo exchanges between the characters on stage[1].
Plot[edit]
The play is set in a local pub. Stacey, the bartender, observes and narrates the dating lives of six singles: three men and three women in their 20s and 30s who are using an app to meet matches with the aim of finding love. The play follows the stories and actual dates of the singles as they have success and failure to find suitable long-term partners.

Reviews[edit]
The play was well-received with Sydney Morton of the Kelowna Capital News calling the play, "the dirty, sexy, truth"[2] and "The interactive use of cellphones made the audience feel as if they were a part of the play, calling out, cheering, boo-ing bad pick-up lines and cheering on the hook-ups."
Finally, Morton concludes, "(Swipe Right) held a reflection of the madness that ensues and how twisted our culture has become when it comes to dating, turning it into game, instead of what it once meant; finding a romantic partner".
