Synthetik Messiah
SINthetik Messiah is a multi-genre international rock band based out of Louisiana[1]. The name is a sensational spelling of the term "synthetic messiah". The Cajun songwriter and sound designer Bug Gigabyte is the creator and frontliner of SM. The band debuted a secret track on the same stage as Shop Boyz at SXSW 2015 and was interviewed for the occasion[2]. They also performed at the 7th annual Southern Gothic Festival.[3] Their latest releases include “Split Damage”[4] and “Black Sheep”[5], released in 2020 and 2019 respectively.
History
The 1996 founding of SINthetik Messiah began as an art project. Heavily influenced by edm, trip hop, goth, industrial and blues, SINthetik Messiah formed its own unique sound and is acknowledged internationally as the founder of Industrial Dubstep[6]. Three major solo releases followed, including a digital-only demo (with side edits from Keoki Records (Super Star Dj Keoki's record label) and Scott Weiser from Jackal and Hyde while featuring K The Female Screamer). In 2016, the band landed in Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes "Edm Stars Vol. 17" while also making Hypeedits top 100.
