T. Lopea is an indie rock artist & musical project from Sydney, Australia.
The character of T. Lopea is a fictional persona with unknown roots. The project focuses on the discovery of other cultures and regions in an attempt to discover Lopea's origins. Each musical release brings with it a distinct influence - the debut EP "International Man of Mystique" and it's resulting singles; focus on the influence of Italy and Italian culture.
Biography[edit]
In early 2019, T. Lopea hits his head in a car accident, shortly after arriving in Sydney, Australia via an international flight. He develops amnesia as a result, and loses most of his luggage in a fire caused by the accident. He is left with nothing but a guitar, a burnt up passport (with his first name charred off), and a small amount of possessions. In an attempt to discover his origins, T. Lopea begins researching other countries and cultures, in hopes it will help him remember. In late 2019, T. Lopea begins researching Italian culture after he is able to remember a song he believes to have written, with a Chorus sung in Italian (See You Then).[1]
Live Shows[edit]
T. Lopea has played a handful of small solo shows to support the release of 2019 singles, See You Then and Postcard from Polignano, and has busked around the Greater Sydney region.
