T. Sankaralingam is an Indian Engineer. He served as the Managing Director of BGR Energy Systems Limited from 7 September 2009 to 31 December 2012. He served as the Chairman and Managing Director of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited from 1 April 2006 to 30 April 2008.[1][2][3]

Education[edit]

Sankaralingam received his Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Regional Engineering College, Tiruchirappalli (now known as National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli) in 1969. He was awarded a Distinguished Alumnus Award from the institute in 2007.[4]

Career[edit]

He was Director of Projects of National Thermal Power Corporation Limited beginning on 10 August 2001. He has work experience of about 26 years in NTPC. He served in Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Tamil Nadu Electricity Board. He served as Board Chair of NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited. He became an Advisory Board Member at Edelweiss Financial Services Limited in March 2017.[1]
