TANA is an international band with Ukrainian roots. TANA's music is a mix of such music genres as future bass, electronic chillout, and downtempo.

History

TANA music band began its existence on February 1, 2017. The preparation for its realization had taken about a year and included the search for soulmates to create a team, creation of a album, video clip shooting and development of the presentation. [1] A new name at the electronic stage immediately came into view of the majority of listeners and topped the music charts of Europe.

The first EP was represented with the name "BROKEN" and included 6 songs. The highlight of this album is the fact that each of the songs is related to a certain period of life of the band's frontwoman Tetiana Stepanova.

« I have chosen this name because every person in his or her life has a moment when he or she feels broken. I have got such period in my life for a year ago and since then I have started writing songs about my life. I have decided to create TANA band in order to take the risk of opening myself. I have understood that I have something to share with people. It is important for me as my thoughts have come out and I have managed to direct it into the music. »[2]

The first record was represented at the famous club ATLAS in Kyiv 5 months after the band's foundation. All the tickets had been sold before the day of the concert.[3] After the first performance, TANA made a tour in Ukrainian cities: Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovograd and Sumy. After a little break, the international band came back to Poltava and was invited at a Town Day to the main stage as a headliner, performing in front of 15 thousand people.[4]

After a good start of the music career and roaring success in the leading foreign charts, the soloist of the band was invited to take part in Amsterdam Music Festival, one of the world's most famous EDM festivals where every year the best Dj of the world is chosen.[5]

A year after the band's foundation, TANA went on its first European tour. The band's debut concert took place in Brussels, the heart of the EU(European Union).[6] The European concerts were so successful that Belgian providers arranged one more spontaneous concert in Namur.

Records

The album "BROKEN" is a deep philosophy that closely relates and turns into a whole with electronic music, performed by TANA. "The album opens my soul to the listener. I have been preparing so long just before the presentation. I think it depicts each of us", - says Tetiana Stepanova, the frontwoman of the band.

The first two songs from the album took the leading position in European top charts. The band was supported by the Dutch informative-entertaining portal "Carte Blanche Music" (Amsterdam)[7] and the Hungarian radiostantion LAZA radio.

BROKEN

The first song of the band that starts the record mentioned above. The song right down to the smallest details depicts the real-life situation when you feel broken and this feeling eats away at ourselves. The lyrics say: "Even if you are broken inside and it seems like all is lost, don't despair! You will find the strength to go through all, raise and go ahead!"

LEAVE AWAY

The 2nd song from the album. This song is a logical extension of the song "BROKEN". It tells about life after the crucial moment. After being broken, a person usually faces up to troubles. The speed of this wave of troubles depends on the person's determination. It is important to be yourself! Don't turn around and don't cover yourself! Reach your goals and don't be afraid to make mistakes. So this is a message hidden in the song "LEAVE AWAY".
