Born at Hyderabad in 2001,[1] Mohit began playing cricket at the age of 7.[citation needed] He represented the state of Telangana in the under-19 cricket trophy at the 64th National School Games in 2018,[3] and, following several good performances in league cricket, in 2022 was selected for Hyderabad at under-25 level in the C. Although he was in the Hyderabad squad for the Ranji Trophy in the 2022–23 season[7] he did not play for the senior side.[1] He went on to make his debut for Arunachal Pradesh during the 2024–25 season.[3] He made his first class debut against Sikkim on 26 October 2024, taking nine wickets in the match, three wickets in the first innings and six in the second innings, conceding 38 runs in 13 overs.[8] He played in one other Ranji Trophy match for the side, taking four wickets, as well as making two List A and three Twenty20 appearances for Arunachal Pradesh during the 2024–25 season.[1] He captained Kameng Kings in the Arunachal T20 Championship.[9][10]
