TOLIMO

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Test of Language by the Iranian Measurement Organization (TOLIMO) is a standard test to measure the English language level of proficiency of non-native speakers wishing to continue higher education in Iranian universities. The test is accepted by many academic and professional institutions in Iran, especially for those who enroll in PhD programs. TOLIMO is one of the two major English-language tests in Iran. The other one is MSRT, also known as MCHE. TOLIMO is held monthly by the NOET, Sazman-Sanjesh, an organization for educational measurement and evaluation purposes for students’ entrance to universities in Iran.[1] In Iran, this test is held almost every month and the results are announced 30 to 40 days after the test.[2]

The TOLIMO score varies between 310 and 677. A score higher than 600 is considered excellent, 520–599 is good, and 480–519 is average. A score lower than 479 is considered weak. The exam has a writing section that is evaluated separately. The score is between 1 and 6. Since 2019, it has been announced that the test will be held online.[3]
