Ignacio Lloret Lledó, known by his artistic name Tachi (Altea, Alicante, 1973), is a Spanish artist and painter.

He completed his academic training at the Real Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia[1]. Later he returned to his hometown, where he earned a Ph.D. in Fine Arts at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, specializing in facial psychosomatics, the study of the influence of the mind on the face.

Style and works

Tachi began showing interest in art and painting from childhood. His work stands out for its dynamism and viscerality, the result of the search for the predominance of the creative process over the final result. This encourages him to show his way of creating art live, participating in media events[2] and offering live painting shows both in his country and around the world, with shows where the viewer can witness the artistic process to the final completion of the work.

Tachi's main works are large-scale portraits, often created live at events such as Hard Rock Calling[3] in London's Hyde Park. Artists like Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Christina Perri and bands like Soundgarden are just some of the musicians portrayed by the Altea-born artist. Places like Madrid[4], Colombia[5], and Dubai[6], among others, have also hosted events where Tachi has created some of his live works.

Formula One drivers Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton have also been featured in the work of the painter, who, coinciding with the celebration of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix[7], and in collaboration with the institutions of Altea, exhibited his portraits in the United Arab Emirates. The Spanish Sailing Cup[8] is another sports event that featured Tachi's participation during its inauguration, taking charge of the work that would be delivered to the competitors of the regatta in its 2019 edition.

In 2021, Tachi was chosen by a group of Basque business leaders to reinterpret Pablo Picasso's Guernica[9]. The resulting work is currently on display in a well-known shopping center in San Sebastián[10]. As a result of this interpretation of Picasso's work, the artist enters a new, more mature, introspective, and personal phase of painting.
